{"id":403,"date":"2016-02-19T06:55:03","date_gmt":"2016-02-19T13:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.f15sim.com\/?p=403"},"modified":"2016-02-19T06:55:03","modified_gmt":"2016-02-19T13:55:03","slug":"update-on-the-2-gauge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f15sim.com\/?p=403","title":{"rendered":"Update on the 2&#8243; gauge."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I finally had the time to come back to the gauge and get the firmware finished!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fuel Flow Gauge Demo #2\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SJEkb-K0lq0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I had somehow managed to do damage to the Arduino Nano such that you couldn&#8217;t upload firmware to it using the &#8220;normal&#8221; method in the Arduino IDE.\u00a0 Turns out I&#8217;d blow the rxdata line going into the ATMega 328 MCU on the board. \ud83d\ude41\u00a0 The good news is that I&#8217;ve got it replaced and the firmware is done.\u00a0 Next step is to make some high quality faces, new needles and new instrument shells.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an interesting bit of trivia for you &#8211; the F-15C can consume up to 150,000lbs of fuel per hour at low altitude and in full afterburner.\u00a0 That&#8217;s right around 22,000 gallons of fuel per hour!\u00a0 Those F100-PW-220 engines are <em>hungry<\/em>! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finally had the time to come back to the gauge and get the firmware finished!
